'By the Sea' First Look: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Show Off a Miserable Marriage
Entertainment Weekly shared some exclusive photos of the upcoming Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt romantic drama By the Sea. It’s the couple’s first on-screen collaboration since they met working on Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005, and it’s Jolie’s third time in the director’s chair. She also wrote the film and is producing (with Pitt coproducing).
Jolie and Pitt are newlyweds, but the film centers on a couple at the end of their rope who take a vacation in order to save their marriage. The film is set in France during the mid-1970s in a quiet, seaside town. Jolie plays a former dancer named Vanessa, while Pitt plays husband Roland, an American writer.

New 'Interstellar' Poster: Where in the Galaxy Is Matthew McConaughey?
And here come the fall blockbusters!
Earlier this week we devoured the first full-length trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, and now comes a new, intriguing poster for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar that finds star Matthew McConaughey going for a nice, unassuming stroll through the snow. Thing is, he ain't on Earth -- as evidenced by the astronaut suit he's wearing. So where is he, what does this place have to do with the movie's plot and will he come across an Empire Strikes Back Tauntaun at some point?
Well, knowing the answers to those questions will spoil the movie... except for that Tauntaun. We'd really like to know the answer to that one. Instead, let's just gaze upon what looks to be another fascinating... Read More

Your Top Three: Kevin Smith Movies
Your Top Three is a series here at Movies.com where we choose a topic and you give us your top three picks.
You don't have to love Kevin Smith as a filmmaker to appreciate that he's had an interesting career. Beginning with an indie-darling, cult-classic Sundance sensation, following it with one of the most unfortunate transitions to the studio system of the 1990s, then continuing to deliver work that surprised critics (for better or worse, up and down) and delighted a core fan base, he's always been someone to pay attention to.
This week, his latest hits theaters and it's yet another example of how he's anything but boring. Tusk, a serial-killer horror flick and the first installment of a new Canada-based "True North Trilogy," sounds too bizarre... Read More
The 'I Saw the Devil' Remake Lands a Killer Creative Team
I Saw the Devil is a haunting 2010 Korean movie from director Ji-woon Kim (The Good, the Bad, the Weird) about a secret service agent who implants a tracking device inside the body of the man who killed is wife, not so he can track the serial killer, but so that he can torment him and make his life a living hell. It's a brilliant and brutal movie about the slippery slopes of revenge and insanity and how the two are so often intertwined. It's also the kind of movie that's so intense, no matter how much you warn someone about its violence, they are guaranteed to walk away thinking, "Damn, that was a messed-up movie."
So of course it's being remade.
Here's the thing, though: The Wrap revealed the team behind the remake, and the names are packed with... Read More
Watch 'Serena,' the Jennifer Lawrence/Bradley Cooper Movie You Probably Didn't Know Existed

Set in Depression-era North Carolina, George and Serena Pemberton are newlyweds and business partners intent on building a timber empire. Serena’s no-nonsense approach keeps the men around her in line, but when George’s hidden past comes to light, things take a turn for the dramatic.
Surprisingly, Serena doesn’t have a U.S. release date at this time. U.K. moviegoers can see it on November 27 (or at the London Film Festival if they’re anxious for some J-Law). So what’s the deal with making American audiences wait? Our pal Sean O’Connell had that... Read More
Watch: Spike Jonze's Surprise Music Video for Karen O, Starring Elle Fanning
Singer Karen O and director Spike Jonze have a working relationship that stretches back to 2005. They worked on the award-winning Adidas commercial "Hello Tomorrow." In collaboration with Carter Burwell, O composed the soundtrack for Jonze’s film Where the Wild Things Are. Recently, the duo was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song for Jonze’s Her (“The Moon Song”).
O just released her first solo record called Crush Songs. To honor his friend and collaborator, Jonze made an impromptu “music video” for O with Elle Fanning — which really means Jonze shot Elle Fanning dancing around like a goofball on the New York Metropolitan Opera House stage, set to O’s song “Ooo.&rdquo... David Fincher's Big Reveal Regarding the Next Two 'Dragon Tattoo' Movies
Audiences couldn’t get enough of Rooney Mara as a punk hacker weirdo in David Fincher’s American adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Fincher has been busy as executive producer of the Netflix series House of Cards (directing a few episodes here and there), and he’s awaiting the release of the highly anticipated Gone Girl — an adaptation of the popular Gillian Flynn novel (in theaters October 3). But Vulture reports that despite Fincher’s workload, he’s still interested in filming the other Stieg... Read More
