Brad Pitt to Star in Angelina Jolie's Next Movie - Here's What We Know
According to The Wrap, Brad Pitt is gearing up to be the main man in Angelina Jolie's next movie, Africa. Actually, he's already the leading man in her next movie - the recently filmed By the Sea (pictured above) - so technically this is her next, next movie.
Africa is based on the real life of Richard Leakey, a Kenyan man of many hats who became a key figure in preserving his nation's history and future. He led several high profile expeditions to recover key historical artifacts, and he even became the driving force behind a controversial, but effective, anti-poacher movement wherein he hired people to shoot any elephant poachers on sight. It's this last part that appears to be the focus of the movie, as this is how Jolie described the project when it... Read More
Kevin Spacey to Star in a Movie About a Man Trapped in a Cat's Body
Everyone loves Kevin Spacey. He's one of those rare actors who is not only incredible on-screen, in every single role, but is exceedingly likeable and normal off camera as well. Combine the two and you've got this persona that Kevin Spacey is kind of just the Man.
Well, now the Man is playing a man who gets trapped in the body of a cat.
Yes, this is a real movie. It's called Nine Lives and it comes from director Barry Sonnenfeld (Men in Black) and the eccentric European studio EuropaCorp (Lucy). The Wrap explains that the Oscar-winning Spacey will be playing a "a workaholic businessman who suffers a terrible accident that leaves him trapped in the body of the family cat." But unfortunately there's not much clarification beyond that.

The Nextflix 'Wet Hot American Summer' Sequel Trailer Teases the Ridiculous Cast
Update: Hop to the bottom of this post for the first teaser trailer for the new Wet Hot American Summer.
Previously: There's long been talk of a Wet Hot American Summer sequel (or prequel), as is normal for cult comedies that didn't do well at the box office but later found die-hard fans in the years following their release. Zoolander is another that's been discussed from the same year, although the original was at least a sizable hit if not the phenomenal success it's become since. For a while, it seemed like the best chance these movies had for follow-ups was by crowd-funding on Kickstarter to prove the interest was there. But it looks like all we had to do was just wait. Paramount recently moved forward with Zoolander 2, and now Netflix... Read More
You Have No Idea How Good 'Batkid Begins' Will Make You Feel
Back in 2007, a documentary called Dear Zachary premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival. Directed by Kurt Kuenne, the film tracked the sickening story of a doomed romance Kurt's best friend Andrew had found himself in, and how things quickly spiraled out of control to the point where multiple people -- including Andrew and the son he never got to meet -- wound up dead. I was at the premiere of this film in 2007, unaware of its story, and that screening will forever go down as one of the most emotionally devastating of my life. I'm talking tears, sobbing and having to sit alongside Andrew's friends and family through all of it was an experience I value as a fan of movies, but one I really don't want to go through again.
Eight years later in the very same... Read More
Release-Date Shuffle: 'Friday the 13th,' 'The Ring' and 'Paranormal Activity' Sequels All Move Around
Earlier this week Paramount changed the date on Mission: Impossible 5, pulling it out of a Christmas bow and releasing it five months sooner. As we mentioned in our post about it, this was a bit of a shocker because studios rarely release major, major movies early, yet alone by nearly half a year. It's not unprecedented, it's just rare.
The release-date shuffle for smaller movies, however, is far more common. That's why it's not remotely surprising Paramount is also playing musical chairs with three of its marquee horror movies.
Here are the new dates:
Friday the 13th
Old Date: November 13, 2015
New Date: May 13, 2016
Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension
Old Date: March 13, 2015
New Date: October 23, 2015.
Old Date: Undated

Exclusive 'Fury' Behind-the-Scenes Clip: Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf Champion David Ayer
Fury, which hits Blu-ray and DVD today, is about the five-man crew of a United States army tank that set out on a potentially suicidal mission behind enemy lines to stop the Nazis from gaining a crucial foothold against the Allied armies. Anchoring everything around this single tank and its team already sets it apart from other WWII movies, but what takes it even a step further is that director David Ayer isn't just making a generic action movie with tanks.
War is hell, and few movies show that hellscape better than Fury. Death lingers in nearly every corner of the frame, and this constant visual that the world is burning and crumbling and bleeding around these five men gives the movie this unbelievable sense of dread that's more apocalyptic than most movies that are... The New 'Ghostbusters': Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones
The '80s reboot-recasting movie news continues today, and while Chris Pratt as Indiana Jones is heavily just a rumor for now, the all-female Ghostbusters lineup has officially filled out a bit. According to various sources, these are the four lucky ladies who will all be bustin' some ghosts:
Those first two names were obvious considering director Paul Feig already worked with both on Bridesmaids, and their names have been swirling around ever since he landed the high-profile remake. If you don't recognize those last two names, however, you may want to tune in to Saturday Night Live. They're both cast members on this current season, and both are very funny comedians primed for a bigger... Read More
Disney Reportedly Wants Chris Pratt As Its New 'Indiana Jones'
Back when Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012, all eyes were on Star Wars. And rightfully so, since the main reason Disney wanted the house George Lucas built was so that it could make a new trilogy (and then some). But that was far from the only lucrative property under Lucas' thumb. They also have one of the most beloved film characters of all time in the mix: Indiana Jones.
Since that acquisition, there have been quite a few rumors about a new Indiana Jones movie, but nothing solid has risen to the surface. Now there's a new rumor to throw in the mix, but this one is so obvious and logical that it may very well be true: Disney wants Chris Pratt to headline a new Indiana Jones franchise.
It is strictly a rumor at this point, as Deadline insists Disney won't comment so... Read More
