Only Movie Fans Will Love These Awesomely Ugly Holiday Sweaters
Just in time for the holidays, the movie fiends at Mondo have created a knitwear tribute to the 1984 cult film Gremlins and the Coen brothers’ dark comedy classic, Fargo. Yes, we’re talking about sweaters. As fans of the Joe Dante film about strange creatures that can’t be fed after midnight know, Gremlins takes place during the Christmas holiday. Billy (Zach Galligan) receives a mogwai as a present from his father. But dear old dad doesn’t know that the adorable creature can spawn something nasty if it gets wet—a trouble-making gremlin. Mondo’s sweater is appropriately holiday-lish, featuring Stripe and Gizmo and the Santa hat. There’s also a reference to the popcorn gremlin, because... movies! The...

First Look: Will Disney's 'Moana' Become the Next 'Frozen?'
You can't deny the power of Disney's Frozen. No, really, you can't--that movie is more powerful than all of us combined, times infinity. And while Disney is doing all they can to satisfy our Frozen wishes moving forward (from shorts to sequels to musicals to ice shows), it's hard not to anticipate their next creation. In the immediate future, that's Big Hero 6 (in theaters November 7), but in 2016 we'll be getting a new thrilling adventure called Moana -- and Disney has just released to us a first look at the film, which you can check out below. So what's the deal with Moana? Well, like Frozen, it'll feature a female heroine--one who hails from the South Pacific islands. In the film, directed by Disney veterans Ron Clements and John Musker...

See What Happens When One Family Tackles the Ultimate 'Wonder Woman' LEGO Set
Now that Warner Bros. has made it all official and whatnot, we know we'll be seeing a lot of those DC superheroes on the big screen over the next six years. Not only will they show up in live action form, but also via Lego Movie spinoffs, like Lego Batman in 2017 and The Lego Movie 2 in 2018. So of course Wonder Woman will be part of it all, appearing for the first time in a live-action movie when Gal Gadot plays her in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (in theaters March 2016), and then in her own solo movie in 2017, not to mention her probable appearances in those Lego and Justice League movies. Fans are excited, as evidenced by the popularity of the Wonder Woman Halloween costume this year (voted number one on a Fandango poll highlighting popular costumes from...

'Pacific Rim II' Gets a Wild Teaser Poster; 'Pacific Rim III' Is Also in the Works
Guillermo del Toro’s sequel to his mech-vs.-monsters movie Pacific Rim is like three years off in the future, but that hasn’t stopped Legendary Pictures from releasing the above teaser photo on its Facebook page. Modern marketing once again proves it’s never too soon to start your media blitz. The new poster is pretty cool looking, with a giant oceanic vortex opening and threatening to suck in all the big military ships in the area. Presumably this is another transdimensional portal so the Kaiju can return to wreak havoc on Earth. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, right? Del Toro, meanwhile, has revealed that he’s not only hard at work on Pacific Rim 2, but he’s also planning a third film that will conclude the...

Superhero Buzz: 'Batman v Superman' Finds Its Robin? Plus: Jason Momoa Talks 'Aquaman' and More
If you’ve got a wicked case of the Mondays, maybe a piping-hot batch of superhero news will turn your frown upside down. Today we’ve got the latest on the gender-bending potential Robin casting, Jason Momoa on playing Aquaman, and more. The big news on Friday was that actress Jena Malone has a part in the upcoming Zack Snyder film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Warner Bros. isn’t saying who she’s playing, but an adventurous extra on the film technically violated his (or her) nondisclosure agreement to reveal that the film features a female Robin. Could this be Malone’s part? The idea of a woman playing Robin isn’t as far-fetched as casual fans think – Carrie Kelley was Batman’s sidekick in The Dark Knight Returns miniseries...
