Peacock has announced that ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy’ – the fourth installment in the ‘Bridget Jones’ film franchise – will premiere on Thursday, Feb. 13 exclusively on Peacock.

The first trailer for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy has also been released, and Renée Zellweger’s Bridget is still looking for love as she comes to terms with the tragedy of losing Mark Darcy (Colin Firth). Joining the ensemble for “one last chapter” will be Emma Thompson, Isla Fisher, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall.

A synopsis reads: “Bridget is alone once again, widowed four years ago, when Mark was killed on a humanitarian mission in the Sudan. She’s now a single mother to 9-year-old Billy and 4-year-old Mabel, and is stuck in a state of emotional limbo, raising her children with help from her loyal friends and even her former lover, Daniel Cleaver. Pressured by her Urban Family — Shazzer, Jude and Tom, her work colleague Miranda, her mother, and her gynecologist Dr. Rawlings — to forge a new path toward life and love, Bridget goes back to work and even tries out the dating apps, where she’s soon pursued by a dreamy and enthusiastic younger man.”

The film franchise kicked off with 2001’s Bridget Jones’s Diary and was followed by 2004’s Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason and 2016’s Bridget Jones’s Baby.
