(Richmond)- The Department of General Services is asking for public input on restrictions at the Robert E. Lee Monument.  Former Governor Terry McAuliffe implemented the emergency restrictions in the aftermath of the 2017 Unite the Right rally.  Right now protests at the Lee Monument can’t exceed 500-people, weapons are banned at the monument, and the monument is closed to the public after sunset.  These regulations expire in May.  A public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday to determine whether to make these regulations permanent.
