The Humane Society of Northern Virginia and Beagle, Rescue, Education and Welfare (both registered non-profit charities) have teamed up for our first “Pets 4 Life” 1 & 5K Walk/Run to benefit pets in need. Gather your family, lace up your sneakers, leash up your furry friends, and get ready for a pawsome time! Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just enjoy a leisurely stroll, this event is for everyone who loves pets and wants to support their well-being.
The race winds through Prince William Forest Park in Triangle, VA, on rolling hills and flat terrain on both dirt trails and hard top. Registration is $20 for the 1K walk/run and $30 for the 5K walk/run. Vehicle entrance fee into the park is $20. Active-duty military and National Park Pass holders are exempt from the vehicle fee. Check in is at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m. Children under 10 years old can participate for free!
Awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in both the 1 & 5K. Walkers and runners will enjoy strolling through the woods with their pets, setting a personal best with the run, or simply taking time to decompress from the hustle and bustle of everyday life while helping to raise funds to provide for the needs of pets in our charge and increase adoptions into the best possible homes.
Don’t miss out on this tail-wagging experience!
