The Rappahannock Amateur Radio Club (RVARC) and the Stafford County Emergency Communications (EmComm) Team is holding its annual Field Day at the Curtis Memorial Park in Hartwood, VA all day on Saturday June 24th and Sunday June 25th through 2 PM. Field Day is the opportunity for thousands of amateur radio enthusiasts throughout the world to set up temporary communications stations and make contact with other radio stations. Radio operators spend the weekend practicing community outreach, emergency preparedness, and technical skills. The RVARC will host a “Get On The Air” station where you can get on the air and talk to other amateur radio operators, and you can also learn how to get your own amateur radio license!
