Caroline Community Theatre is pleased to announce that David Klaus is taking on the role of Director for our upcoming production of “Noises Off” and he is looking for his Cast of Characters!
In-person auditions will be held Monday, April 8 and Tuesday, April 9 from 6pm to 8pm at the theater, 7278 Ladysmith Rd, Ruther Glen 22546. They will consists of selected cold readings from the script.
Virtual Auditions will also be accepted now through April 8. Please send a video performance of a monologue of your choice to: President@carolinetheatre.org .
Call-backs will take place on April 10 on an as needed basis. Virtual Auditioners should be prepared to attend on the 10th, if selected.

Noises Off Character Descriptions:
Dotty Otley/Mrs. Clackett: A late-middle-aged actress. Plays Mrs. Clackett, the housekeeper for the Brents’ home in England in the play “Nothing’s On.” One of the play’s principal characters who means well and tries her best, but is forgetful.
Lloyd Dallas: Director of the play-within-a-play, “Nothing’s On.” A seasoned thespian working with “amateurs.” He is one third of the Lloyd-Poppy-Brooke love triangle.
Garry Lejune/Roger: A stuttering actor, easily fired up. Plays Roger, the estate agent looking to let the Brent’s house in Nothing’s On. The play’s leading man. As Roger he is an English Real Estate Agent who is attempting to rent Flavia and Phillip’s home for his own personal benefits.
Brooke Ashton/Vicki: A young, inexperienced actress from London. She is one third of the Lloyd-Poppy-Brooke love triangle. Plays “Vicki,” who works for the tax authorities and is trying to woo “Roger” in Nothing’s On. (This character must be comfortable wearing intimate apparel)
Poppy Norton-Taylor: Assistant Stage Manager for the play, “Nothing’s On.” She is overly sensitive and envious of Brooke, whom she understudies. She is one third of the Lloyd-Poppy-Brooke love triangle.
Frederick Fellowes/Phillip/Sheikh: Has a serious fear of violence and blood. He plays “Phillip Brent” and look alike character “Sheikh.” “Phillip” lives in the country with wife, “Flavia” and is intent on avoiding paying taxes in “Nothing’s On.”
Belinda Blair/Flavia Brent: Belinda is cheerful and sensible. She is one of the only reliable actors in the company. She plays “Flavia, Philip Brent’s wife,” who is dependable, though not one for household duties in “Nothing’s On.”
Selsdon Mowbry/Burglar: An elderly, alcoholic Englishman who may or may not have had a successful career on stage. Hard of hearing – when he wants to be. Plays a burglar, in his seventies, breaking into the Brents’ house in “Nothing’s On.”
Timothy Allgood: The over-worked and easily flustered Stage Manager who wears too many hats in this production.
