Definition of Dog Days – the hottest period of the year (reckoned in antiquity from the heliacal rising of Sirius, the Dog Star)
So naturally I looked up when the rising of Sirius would be this year. Turns out Sirius is making its first morning appearance (the heliacal rising) on August 12th 2022.

In celebration of this occasion TRC Events and Revatone Farm are bringing you a one of a kind experience on Saturday August 13th, 2022!

What is it? Shopping, activities, and a place to give an animal a Furever home!
Where? Revatone Farm, 10828 Catharpin Rd Spotsylvania VA 22553
When? August 13th, 2022, 10am-5pm
Featuring animal friendly artists from all over the Fredericksburg area and beyond! Many vendors will have items for your pets including bandanas, treats, clothing and more!
On top of that we will have animals available for adoption! Come out and find your new fur baby! Animals are welcome as long as they are well behaved and leashed.
We are featuring a local non-profit R2H- Return to Home Lost Pet Resources
What they are all about: Our mission is to safely trap elusive pet dogs and cats, as well as stray dogs. We provide guidance to pet owners and the public on how to safely locate and settle the animal for trapping, including how to make a proper Lost Pet poster, when to involve a tracker, and how to properly use scent articles. We also offer other resources necessary to aid in the safe containment of the animal until reunited.
Worried about the heat? Don’t fret! Misting tents will be available for you and your pets to stay cool throughout the day!
Don’t forget to check out the bounce house, raffles, food trucks, music, petting zoo, corn hole, yard games, classic cars, kids activities, and MORE!

Vendor spaces are available! Vendors must go through an application process to ensure that there is a wide array of items available to the public. Whether you are approved or denied you will be contacted by Kristen Hudgins.
Outdoor 10×10 spaces start at $65. Indoor spaces are limited and sell out fast!
