Join the Fredericksburg Walking Club in celebrating the return of the otters to the Rappahannock River, which flows by the historic City of Fredericksburg. The walk will take you through city streets to visit 7 bronze otter statues scattered across a 5k route on paved sidewalks. The 10k walk also takes you through parts of the wooded Alum Spring Park, an official Rails-to-Trails site.
Walk at your own pace along 3-mile or 6-mile trails, starting anytime between 8:30am and 1pm, finishing by 3pm, or join us for our optional Group Walks, which start at 9:30am and 9:45am. You can also take a tour of the gallery/foundry where the otter statues were made (enquire at the start table for details).
It costs $3 to walk, or $4 if you want to walk and get AVA/IVV credit. We will have commemorative otter patches for sale for $5 (until supplies run out).
