Saturday, July 13th, Teen Court is hosting a Human Trafficking Awareness Event. Over three dozen Community Partners and Anti-Human Trafficking Organizations will be present outside CCSO Headquarters from 9:00am to 3:00pm with information and resources for the community.
There will be two indoor presentations for adults only. The 9:00am presentation will be given by a representative from Shared Hope International on Internet Safety and Online Awareness. The 11:00am presentation will be given by a representative from Blue Campaign on Human Trafficking 101.
Throughout the day you can drop off items for the Go-Bag Donation Drive at the Fort Washington Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s tent, details on what types of items can be found on the flyer.
The Red Sand Project will begin at 1:00pm. Participants will help pour red sand into sidewalk cracks to represent the millions of people who have fallen through the ‘cracks’ and become victims. Aerial photos will be taken of what promises to be a breathtaking display.
This Awareness Event is free and open to the public with resources cover the tri-county area and beyond. Come out anytime between 9:00am and 3:00pm on Saturday, July 13th to show support, gain knowledge and resources, and raise awareness!
