The American Legion Post 55 is hosting a “Military Homeschool Open House” on Saturday, July 24, 2021, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. The Post is located 461 Woodford Street, Fredericksburg, VA, 22401, and this event is for Military Homeschool Families, both Veterans and Active Duty.

In light of the transient nature of our Military lifestyle, many Military families have turned to Homeschooling as a means of providing a portable and uninterrupted education for their children. Add to this the recent closure of Public and DoD Schools, even more of us have turned to Homeschooling.

It is our hope that this event will provide an opportunity to get together as a ‘community within a community’; a time to ‘Connect – Share – Fellowship’ with others who share the same goals for educating our children and who speak the same language. You know, ACRONYMS….
