Only one admission cost is paid for 6 hours of music!
For each hour from 10 am to 4 pm, two to three performers are scheduled at staggered locations on Winchester and Fauquier Streets so that each group’s music does not interfere with each other.
Attendees should bring their own chairs to sit in the street and move from concert to concert. Children will be able to blow bubbles and use sidewalk chalk in the street to create their own artwork.
Face painting will also be available for $3 each; cash only please.
While licensed Food Trucks will be available, NO alcoholic beverages and NO coolers are allowed. Porta-Johns will be provided for the comfort of guests.
Would you like to help make RappArts PorchFest a successful event? Volunteers are the heart of any event such as RappArts PorchFest. RappArts/ACCR would love to have more volunteers to help move the equipment of musicians, collect admission fees, attach wrist bands, hand out bottles of water, man the barricades and move them if necessary for an emergency, guide attendees to the correct porches, empty trash, and to clean-up from 4-5 pm. Contact us at RappArtsPorchFest@gmail.com to volunteer. There are jobs for all talents!
RappArts hopes to promote our city as well as our Rappahannock region as a premier arts destination on the east coast…and as a vibrant community with great neighborhoods in which to live!
So, come out on Saturday, August 20 th to Winchester and Fauquier Streets to enjoy a relaxing, casual day of fun and great music! Don’t forget your cash for admission and treats, too!
