Seussical Jr. features the Dr. Seuss story of Horton the elephant, who discovers an entire society on a speck of dust. The famed Cat in the Hat tells the tale of Horton and the Whos, especially Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton soon faces a double challenge – not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an egg left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and even a trial, his friend, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz, never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant. Doors open at 10:30am on Tuesday and Thursday performances for schools to eat their lunch before the show begins. There is no food or beverage service for Children’s Theatre. The show begins at 11:30am and lasts one hour.
Saturday performances begin at 1PM with doors opening at 12:30PM.
