The Stafford NAACP Freedom Fund Committee invites all to join them at their annual Seafood Boil, a fundraising event taking place from 4-8 pm on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the historic Rowser Building, 1739 Richmond Hwy, Stafford, VA. Enjoy boiled crabs, shrimp, potatoes and veggies; crawfish pies; and more. The menu also includes a dessert and drink.
Besides eating good food and visiting with friendly people, you’ll also be able to view the African American History Mural and tour the historic building. The Rowser Building was once the Stafford Training School, the only black high school in Stafford during segregation. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service, as well as the Virginia Landmarks Register. Tickets are $75 each and can be purchased on Eventbrite at https://tinyurl.com/NAACPSeafoodBoil or by using the QR code on the posted flyer.
Vendors are also invited. For vendor details, send Paulette a text at (678) 629-8375.
