Stage Door Productions will celebrate Black History Month with our inaugural Black History Festival with online performances of poetry, songs, and personal stories beginning February 12th and running through February 21st.Join us in a celebration of Black history and watch history unfold.
The month of February was chosen to celebrate Black history because both President Abraham Lincoln and former slave, abolitionist, and orator, Frederick Douglass, were born in February. Abraham Lincoln’s birthday falls on February 12th and the birthday of Frederick Douglass is on February 20th.
The festival runs from February 12th through February 21st. For fundraising efforts to keep Stage Door alive, tickets will be $16 per household.
The Black History Festival is directed by Mrs. Debbie Harris.
